What is PP?
Polypropylene (PP) is marked with the resin identification code of 5. PP has an excellent range of chemical compatibility, great impact resistance, excellent rigidity, and its satin finish makes it an aesthetically pleasing plastic.

About this jar
This is an 8oz jar and has a 89-400 neck finish. The first number refers to the diameter of the neck (in mm), and the second number refers to the closure depth, style, and thread. This container can be paired with a continuous thread cap or a child resistant cap. The closure used on this jar can have a foam, PS (pressure sensitive), or HS (heat induction) liner within it. The HS liner would need to be universal or PP specific. This particular jar has a straight base as opposed to the rounded base of its counterpart.

Can other colors be produced other than the stock colors?
Yes. While these are produced in stock colors (white and black), any color can be produced. Our customers can provide a Pantone number and we will match that and produce that color. This allows for a brand to create a unique double wall jar to accompany their product, label and cap.

Is PP the right material for you?
A common question customers will have is will PP be the right material for their jar. PP offers a satin look as opposed to the glossy finish of PET or the matte finish of HDPE.
